Create your first form

Start with a small form that captures the information your team actually needs. You can expand it after you see how people respond.

  1. Open the WandForm app.
  2. Create a new form from a blank form or a relevant template.
  3. Give the form a clear internal name.
  4. Add the fields your team needs for the first review step.
  5. Save the draft.

Write labels from the submitter’s point of view. A good label makes it obvious what the person should enter without needing extra help text.

Prefer specific labels:

  • Work email
  • Company name
  • Requested start date
  • What should we know before replying?

Avoid vague labels:

  • Info
  • Details
  • Notes

Before sharing the form, check:

  • required fields are actually required
  • optional fields can be skipped
  • long-answer fields have enough room
  • choices are mutually exclusive when using radio buttons
  • confirmation text sets the right expectation after submit

After the draft looks correct, publish it and test the public link once before sending it to users.
